On to a new smile!
The day has finally come that Austin got his braces on! He's been waiting for his teeth to come in, but we've determined that they are not coming in and so they are going to go up and pull them down with chains. Doesn't that sound lovely! Poor guy! So on go the braces to make room for the teeth and then 3 chains and two wisdom teeth out at the oral surgeon. Then bottom braces and finally rubber bands to change his jaw alignment. It's going to be a while 'til we see that perfect smile, but we're on our way. Hang in there buddy!

Oh my! Hang in there Austin! Sounds like it's going to be a looong ride. One day it will all be worth it right? Right?
We had to uncover a tooth and bring it into place with a "chain" for Halley too . .. . . the problem with that tooth was it was in the middle of the roof of her mouth!!!! She was in braces for 4 years. Once they got the tooth into place, it was turned around backwards and so they turned it around very slowly until the front of the tooth showed. WHAT AN ORDEAL! Glad those days are over for us anyway :)
