We Remember!

This year we were able to go to the cemetery and visit the graves of a few of David's ancestors. David told the kids some fond memories he has of his Grandparents and the history of his family in Draper. It was nice to learn more about these wonderful people who left a great legacy of faith. We wish we could have visited more places, but our family is spread all over the world. We are grateful for all those who have gone before us and all the wonderful examples they have been to us. May they all be happy and blessed!

Soccer Tournament!!

This weekend the Blue Knights participated in a memorial day tournament in Kaysville. We had a great time! Friday night was our first game and we had an easy time with that team. Evan scored 6 goals before they pulled him out and the team went on to win 8-1. Saturday mornings game was a bit rougher and we were still asleep for the 8 am start time. We fought hard, but ended up losing that game. That left us with the #1 team to play that afternoon. They had won all their games easily and so we were in for a tough battle! The boys dug deep and were able to play some awesome soccer to come away with the win, 4-2!! Unfortunately it wasn't enough with the point system to advance to the finals, but they were still excited that they had beat that team. So our season is over for a while. We have tryouts tomorrow and Wednesday and then some summer conditioning and tournaments to keep us on top of our game until next season! We love our Blue Knights!

Evan goes double digits!

May 4th was Evan's 10th birthday and he has had a great one. Of course it started off with his incredible surprise trip to Texas and then on his actual birthday we celebrated with family. Evan asked for sweet bread as his birthday cake so of course that's what he got. I made 4 loaves and added a drizzle on top to make it a little more special. He blew out all 10 candles with no problem and then celebrated with all the family that could be around on a school night. He enjoyed pizza for dinner and no homework from school. He got a lot of nerf toy guns this birthday and so there are little orange darts everywhere in the house...but he's having a ton of tun with them. Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Evan and the wonderful kid he is. We love you!

Evan and Trevan in Heaven (Texas)

The boys getting ready to enjoy a 3 pound cinnamon roll!

For Evan's birthday we took him with us on our trip to San Antonio. It was a surprise for him and it was so great! We arranged for him to spend lots of time with his best friend Trevan. They were able to have sleep overs at the hotel, go to a swim party, a soccer game, and play, play, play for 4 days. It was so fun to see the two of them together again. There are just some friends that you don't have to see every day that will always be close and I think that's how Trevan and Evan are going to be. They are such good friends and truly love each other. Evan said on the way home that it was the best 4 days of his life! Wow!
