Feelin' 22...

Happy birthday to Ethan Charles Patterson Smith.  He is 22 years old!  Growing up so fast and he has become an amazing young man.  I can't wait to continue watching what you will do with your life.  Stay humble and kind!

 

A new Saturday sport! State Champs!

We've enjoyed watching our new Saturday morning sports with cheerleading!  Alta JV did so amazing this year...they placed 1st in every competition they were in...including 1st in State!  Congratulations to an awesome year!

Elder Smith Off to Peru!

Today, after recovering from his 2nd ACL surgery in 90 days Elder Evan Smith was able to return to his missionary assignment and head off to Lima Peru.  We are so incredibly proud of his determination to serve and to give his all....just please, be careful!!

Christmas Tree decorating night!

 What a fun family night to get together and decorate the tree.  I love these precious family moments while we are all together.  It's one of my greatest joys...my family!

Paris...Belgium...Netherlands getaway. Day 7 with friends.

On our final day in the Netherlands we met up with our friends The Denyers and thanks to Jocelyn we were able to explore more outside Brussels.  We toured the beautiful windmills in Kinderdyke, followed by a wonderful walk and lunch in Delft.  It was so fun to see them after 14 years!  Then we began our long trip home via Paris and the flights to Salt Lake.  What an amazing adventure we've had!

Paris...Belgium...Netherlands getaway. Netherlands day 6

On our first day in the Netherlands we did another guided tour, visiting the Henry Willig cheese farm and the fishing village of Volendam, finishing with the quaint village of Edam.  We finished our Netherlands day 1 by experiencing bike rush hour and finally a somber visit to the Anne Frank house.

 

Paris...Belgium...Netherlands getaway. Day 5

Our 2nd day in Belgium was Sunday, so we slept in and went to 10:30am church.  Then we decided to walk the 1.5 hours home, stopping at palaces, old churches, and other old building, statues, and fountains that we have no idea what they are for, but they were pretty.  A nice slower day for a great Sunday!
