Brazil visit day #2.  We rode the cable car to the top of Urca Mount and Pao de Acucar.  Fantastic views of all of Rio and Guanabara Bay.

Then out to the Rio LDS temple site under construction and lunch at Madero Burgers.  Rio is a beautiful city!

Brazil JDF mission visit, day 1

So most of day 1 consisted of traveling to Brazil.  We flew to Las Vegas and then a flight to Atlanta and then to Rio de Janeiro....16 hours.  But the kids were really good travelers and when we arrived in Rio we had a fabulous hotel on Copacabana beach where we enjoyed the beach and the sun!

Welcome home to the USA Elder Smith!!!

After 705 days being gone serving his mission in Brazil, Elder Ethan Smith returned home on July 4th, 2018.  It was a day of anticipation and great joy as we gathered at the airport to greet him upon his return.

Waiting and watching for over 30 minutes for Ethan to come down those escalators and to be able to give him a big!  It was an amazing moment and day of joy!

David was super excited as well as I couldn't hold back the tears of joy.  Such a long time in the making and he was finally home!

After all the fanfare and the welcome homes and the hugs...it was time to go home...

Talia's blessing day

This is a little out of order, but I wanted to get everything into the blog and into my printed books.  This was Talia Everdene Watts' blessing day.  She is precious and Mayce and Kelly are the sweetest parents ever.  I'm so grateful to have a huge family full of new babies and neices and nephew's whom I love dearly!

William Kent Patterson is here!

Lindsey and George welcomed their 4th child on May 15, 2018.  William Kent Patterson.  He's adorable and a great addition to the Patterson family.  Welcome Will!

Evan's 17th birthday...05.04.2018

I forgot to post pictures from Evan's birthday.  We spent most of the day shopping and going out to lunch.  Evan is an amazing kid...truly a sensitive, thoughtful young man.  He's funny and spunky and incredible driven.  He's smart and loyal and usually happy!  We love you Evan!!
